More Australians are interested in robot vacuums than ever before, according to new research from Ecovacs, as the company launched its latest range in Australia. Led by its new flagship model, the Deebot X5 Pro Omni, Ecovacs recently announced three new robot cleaners for the local market.
89% of surveyed Australians are open to sourcing help from robotic appliances as time and cost-of-living pressures contribute to the stress of daily chores. Robot vacuums happen to be high on many Aussies’ wishlists, with 59% planning to buy one to help around the home.
A super-competitive market, there’s no shortage of robotic cleaning appliance brands in Australia. After a popular Aldi Special Buys drop, Ecovacs’ latest launch adds further options to the growing segment.
Building on the D-shaped design of the X2 Omni, the Deebot X5 Pro Omni is slimmer, smarter, and more powerful than the brand’s previous flagship robot cleaner. With a peak suction power of 12,800Pa, it surpasses Ecovacs’ Deebot T30 Pro Omni in raw strength, and even Roborock’s top-of-the-line model.
Capable of mopping too, the Deebot X5 Pro Omni uses built-in AI smarts to identify areas that need more TLC. If it detects a stubborn stain, it’ll automatically boost the water used and go over the stain multiple times. Once the robot returns to its auto-empty station, it then washes the mop with hot water and dries it to prevent mould growth and odours.
